The Sol Solstice was an event based on rebirth and community interaction. Participants were invited to the space on the winter solstice and asked to bring three things, an object with which they related summer to, piece of nature and a story with witch to share with the group. Each participant was asked to burn their object and share their story with the group. The piece of nature was then added to a communal art piece, which everyone was invited to enjoy in the experience of painting in their own way. A closing ceremony sent participants on their way with a bindi mark from the ashes of the nature burned earlier in the evening. This experience was intended to help mark the end of the summer, remembering the shared times within the group.
